Milo Manheim is a rising star in the entertainment industry, best known for his lead role as Zed in the Disney Channel original movie franchise Zombies. Born on March 6, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, Manheim grew up in a family of artists and intellectuals.
Manheim's mother, Camryn Manheim, is a well-known actress, best remembered for her role in the TV series The Practice. Milo spent much of his childhood on television sets, accompanying his mother to work, which sparked his interest in acting from a young age. At the age of six, he began his acting career in a local after-school program in Culver City.
Manheim's passion for the performing arts led him to participate in numerous musicals with Liza Monjauze Productions, a local theatre group. Over the years, he starred in 20 different musicals, including classics such as Rent, Footloose, Tommy, A Chorus Line, Gypsy, and Spring Awakening. Manheim's breakthrough role came in 2017 when he was cast as the lead in the Disney Channel original movie Zombies, which premiered in February 2018. His portrayal of Zed, a zombie trying to fit into a human world, was a hit with audiences, and he reprised the role in the sequels Zombies 2 (2020) and Zombies 3 (2022).
